Each & Every — Use + 30 Examples
Both Each and Every mean “हर / प्रत्येक”, but their usage is slightly different.
1. EACH — Use
Rule 1: Each + singular countable noun + singular verb
Each + singular noun + singular verb
Each student has a book. ✅
Each player is ready. ✅
❌ Each students have a book.
Rule 2: Each focuses on members individually
जब हम group के हर member को अलग-अलग देखते हैं, तो each use करते हैं।
Example:
Each student received a certificate.
→ हर विद्यार्थी को अलग-अलग certificate मिला।
Rule 3: Each of + plural noun/pronoun
Each of + plural noun/pronoun + singular verb
Each of the students is ready. ✅

Rule 4: Each can come after the subject

2. EVERY — Use
Rule 1: Every + singular countable noun + singular verb
Every + singular noun + singular verb

Rule 2: Every focuses on the group as a whole
जब हम किसी group के सभी members को एक general group के रूप में देखते हैं, तो every use करते हैं।
Every student must follow the rules.
→ हर विद्यार्थी को नियमों का पालन करना चाहिए।
Rule 3: Every is NOT normally followed by a plural noun
